Free Number Blocks Learning Game

This site is built as an original browser-based math manipulative for children who are learning to count, split numbers, and compare arrays. Parents and teachers can use it for short counting practice, addition warmups, or a quick visual check before moving to written number sentences.

Count every block

Children can tap each block in order, hear the English number name, and see the counted blocks stay marked on the character.

Split and recombine

The split mode turns one number into smaller buddies that can be dragged back together, making addition facts visible before they become symbols.

Compare arrays

Array mode arranges the same number into tidy rows so learners can notice equal groups, rows, columns, and early multiplication patterns.

Simple lesson ideas

Pick one number and stay with it for a minute. Count it, split it, then switch to Array mode and ask what stayed the same. The goal is to help children connect the visible blocks with the number they say and write.

  • Ask the child to predict how many blocks will be counted before tapping.
  • Choose a number above 10 and talk about full rows, leftover blocks, tens, and ones.
  • Use Split mode to say each addition sentence aloud after two buddies merge.
